1| Determine How Often You Need To Clean

My first tip is actually determining how often you need to clean. There so many cleaning schedules online these days: daily cleaning schedules, weekly cleaning schedules, and monthly cleaning schedules. These all have different tasks that you need to do daily. I feel like it’s so overwhelming with everything that needs to be done.

I think how we should start is to clean the house like you normally would. Then check around periodically to see how it is holding up. This is to see how quickly your house is getting dirty. For example, after one week you would check and see if there are dust bunnies anywhere, build up, etc. This is to actually see what is  getting dirty in real time!

If it’s not dirty than a why go through an entire cleaning routine and clean it again right?!

2| Determine How You Like to Clean

The second tip to determine how you actually like to clean. There are so many cleaning schedules on Pinterest that there are broken down to do different tasks daily.

What if you don’t like to clean that way?

I have found that I personally do not like to split things up to do small task each day. I don’t want to clean like that everyday so I am more of like a one-and-done person.

If you are a little bit a day person than you take the all the tasks and break them down Monday through Friday or Monday through Sunday. If you are one and done person then you would take all of it and just take a big chunk of time and go through it and plow through it.

3| What Does Your Daily Schedule Look Like?

Tip number 3 is to take a step back and look at your daily schedule. Are you out of the house most of the day? Are you at home most of the day?

These scenarios will change how you clean or how much time you have to clean on a daily or weekly basis. For me, I’m at home most of the day and I have our little one at home so I don’t clean until it is naptime for her. I’m home to be with her I’m so I take nap times as my time to do things around the house so it doesn’t interfere with family time. How I’ve set up my new cleaning schedule is to clean from top to bottom on Mondays and Tuesdays. I have scheduled my bulk cleaning time for 2 hours each day and I can usually get everything cleaned how I like it.

Another tip is to not schedule yourself at max capacity. This will be overwhelming, tiring, and if you aren’t able to complete the tasks you scheduled for yourself, you will then lose motivation to clean.
