The product I am going to review for you today is the Method Daily Granite cleaner. It’s safe for granite, marble, and stone. I use this on my kitchen counters which are quartz, our bathroom counters which are marble, and our fireplace surround which is granite.

1| Method Daily Granite Product Review Pros

  • This cleaner smells really good. It’s not too overpowering. Its a nice fresh scent without the “fakey” smell. The one I have now is an orange tangerine. I have also tried the apple orchard and I heart that scent!

  • Another bonus is I like that I can use it in multiple areas around the house and even on the backsplash in the kitchen.

  • This product is non toxic which makes me feel better about using it on the counters where the girls would be touching.

  • It’s plant based and biodegradable so it’s also safe for the environment!

2| Method Daily Granite Product Review Cons

  • This product runs around $6 a bottle at various places. I’ve seen it at Target and Home Depot. I’m sure other stores have it as well. My bottle has lasted me quite a while, but I feel like compared to other cleaners it could be a tad pricey?

  • While I was doing some research online, I stumbled upon this website called the Environmental Working Group.(www.ewg.org). They give and overall score ratings/scores to different cleaning products based on their ingredients and how transparent they are about their ingredients.

The EWG gave the Apple Orchard version a “C” rating based on some of the ingredients in the cleaner. A “C” rating means that there is “Some potential for hazards to health or the environment. At least some ingredient disclosure. The ratings indicate the relative level of concern posed by exposure to the ingredients in this product – not the product itself – compared to other product formulations.”

3| A simple granite and quartz cleaner alternative?

I found a simple alternative to getting a nice and clean counter without the fuss!

A little bit of mild dish soap and warm water!

I filled up a glass with warm water and a couple of drops of dish soap to try on our kitchen counters. First, I got the microfiber cloth damp with the solution and wiped the counter. Then I dried with a dry microfiber cloth and it looked just as great!

All in all, will I stop using the Method Daily Granite Cleaner? After I finish this bottle, I just might! There’s no need to buy another cleaner when I can easily clean with a DIY version that works just as great and costs less right?!

…But what kind of dish soap should you use? Stay tuned for the next product review!
