Are your finances just scattered all over the place? Wouldn’t it be awesome to know exactly where to go to pay bills and keep track of your budget? In this post, I want to share with you today how to easily organize your finances with budgeting printables!
I don’t know about you but sometimes I don’t like working in my dedicated office space and I like to work from different parts of the house. So, I kept that in mind when I created my budget binder. I wanted my binder to be mobile, so I could do the bills and budget from anywhere in the house.
So what budget printables do you really need in order to manage your household budget?
1|Clear Pocket to corral small Items
The first thing I have when you open the budget binder is a clear pocket. I keep my stamps in here, some envelopes, return address labels, a pencil and eraser, and finally, my checkbook. That way if I need to send anything in the mail, I have everything I need to send it off without having to run upstairs.
2| Monthly Budget Printable
The first tab houses our monthly budget. This is the first thing you want to do at the start of every month. That way you know exactly where all of your money is going from a birds eye view.
You can see all the major categories of where your money has to go. The key is to start with your necessities and top priorities, and then the rest can go to the different categories that are non essentials.
After you have the birds eye view of and general idea of where your money is going on a monthly basis, then next step is to go to the weekly spending plan, which is under the second tab.
3| Weekly Spending Plan Budget Printable
I love this sheet. It’s one of my favorites. Now, I don’t think you would need this sheet if you got paid on a monthly basis, you could just stick with the monthly budget. But if you get paid more than once a month, it’s probably most of us, then the weekly spending plan lets you split up your paychecks and distribute the money when you get paid. The sheet allows you to see what you want to pay with each paycheck so you don’t overspend too much in one week and not enough in another.
4| Bill Payment Checklist
The next section is the bill payment checklist. With this checklist, you only need one per year! Isn’t that amazing?! This is to keep track on a monthly basis when you’ve paid a bill that month. You won’t have to worry about missing payments anymore! The bill payment checklist printable will hold you accountable because you can easily see what’s paid and what isn’t.
5| Debt Payoff Tracker
The last section of budget printables I have is the debt payoff tracker. I will be using this to keep track of all the debt we have. As the debts are paid off as we go along, then I’ll just go ahead and cross of those lines.
6| Bills Folder
Finally we have the bills folder. The bills that need to be paid are in one pocket. The bills that need to be filed away because they’re already paid are on the other side. They are marked with post its as well, so I don’t get confused.
How do you organize the bills at your house? I would love to know in the comments below!
