Fold Fitted Sheet | How to Fold Flat and Fitted Sheet | How To Fold Sheets
I’ve always struggled with folding sheets especially fitted sheets for my entire adult life at which point I twirl it in a ball and stuff it into the linen closet.
But sheets come packaged beautifully folded, right?! So there must be a way to fold it up nicely once again!

1| Fold Pillowcases
King size pillow cases are folded in fourths lengthwise. Which means I will fold the pillowcase in half and then in half once again. Then I will fold them into thirds width wise.
I fold the regular size pillow cases in thirds lengthwise and then into thirds width wise.
The two pillowcases end up being the same size after they are folded.
2| Fold Fitted Sheet
Next, on to the fitted sheet.
The first thing you need to do is find your corners. Each corner has a seam and this is what you’re looking for.
What you’re ultimately wanting to do is tuck all the corners together so they are nestled together! I didn’t know this for the longest time! Once they are nestled neatly, then you can fold it just like a flat sheet!
Once you have you’re first two corners, drape one over one hand. Then take the other corner with your other hand and this will be flipped inside out so you can tuck it inside the first corner. Lay it down and don’t lose track of it!
Now you’ll do this same thing with the other two corners. You’ll have either two scenarios at this point. Wither both corners will be facing each other on the same side or one will be folded over on an opposite side.
The next step is to take one set of corners and tuck it inside the other set of corners. So they’re all facing the same direction. You will have a rectangle. The next step is to fold the sheet into thirds widthwise and then into thirds lengthwise.
3| Fold Flat Sheet
Fold in half widthwise, Fold in half lengthwise.
You will have a rectangle. The next step is to fold the sheet into thirds widthwise. THen fourths lengthwise.
If you are going to store the pillowcases , fitted sheet, and flat sheet as a set:
Take the fitted sheet and 2 pillowcases and set them in the middle of the folded flat sheet. Then fold the one side over and fold over again.
How to Store Sheets
1| Separate categories
You can fold each item and store fitted sheets together, flat sheets together, and pillow cases together. Then you would also have to separate the different sizes as well.
2| My favorite way. Is store each set of sheets you would need to make a bed in a set. I put the pillow cases, flat sheets and fitted sheets tucked together so I have everything I need together in one place.
