5 daily habits to keep life organized
I wanted to share with you today 5 daily habits to stay organized. There have been so many days along my mom journey that I’ve completely felt like a hot mess. I was getting nowhere, I lived day to day without a plan, and just felt like I didn’t have any control of what was happening. Like life was happening to me not the other way around.
Now, I’m a lot better, I’m definitely not perfect, but way better than before. And that’s all that matters right? Progress not perfection?
How about you? Are you tired of feeling like you have no control over your day?
Here are 5 habits you should try to keep yourself organized throughout the day so you can stop feeling like a hot mess too!
Here are the 5 daily habits to keep life organized
1| Wake Up Early
Wake up early. Like super early. If I start the day on my own terms, I can accomplish so much in the morning before the girls wake up. Coming from someone that was not a morning person , pretty much my whole life, if i can do it, you can totally do it too. I feel so much better when I don’t feel rushed or have kids waking me up.
2| Make Your Bed
Make your bed in the morning or at some point in the day. I always preach this right? Make that bed so your room is looking good. You want your bedroom to be a place of peace and relaxation. Since the bed takes up the majority of the space, when it’s nice and neat, the room will look a lot more put together (even if the rest is not as neat!). You can head to this post if you want to see how I make my bed.
3| Plan Ahead
Planning ahead is so important. Plan out what you need to accomplish for the day. Being at home, we have laundry, cleaning/tidying, playing with the kids, activities, meals, projects we want to do for ourselves, and so much more. What goals did you want to accomplish for the month? For the next few weeks? Get it all written down so you have a place to keep track and make sure you get it done.
4| Actually Follow Through On That Plan
Follow your own plan. I’ve been guilty of this. I make such a beautiful plan on paper but I don’t follow it. I keep pushing back task after task until I have a big pile of un-do’s. Those are to dos that didn’t get done. And I’m more stressed out than even before. Make sure you stick to it everyday.
5| Eat A Littler Healthier At Each Meal
Eat a little bit healthier at each meal. I’m horrible when it comes to meals. I love my sweets. But if I can eat a little bit healthier throughout the day, this gives me the good energy, not the sugar or caffeine highs, that I need to pursue all the goals and dreams that I know I really want to get done.
